Pedestrian ticketed after being struck by vehicle in Quincy

Quincy police cited a woman who reportedly walked into the path of a car and suffered minor injuries Friday.

According to a police report, Janet M. Lefler, 53, was a passenger in a vehicle that stopped at a traffic light at 12th and State at 9:29 p.m. Friday. Lefler was involved in an argument with the driver and exited the vehicle. She walked behind the vehicle and was tyring to walk east across 12th Street when she walked into the path of a vehicle traveling south on 12th Street. Anna Phillips, 20, of Quincy, was the driver.

Lefler was taken to Blessing Hospital by ambulance and was treated for minor injuries.

Lefler was cited for illegal pedestrian use of the roadway and was released on a notice to appear.
