Two people were injured in the collision of a motorcycle and SUV at 10:19 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of South 48th and Ill. 96.

Motorcyclist Benjamin O. Hickman, 27, of Fowler, and his passenger, Michelle Mast, 23, of Hannibal, Mo., were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported Hickman was northbound on Ill. 96 when a 2004 GMC Yukon driven by Kelly S. Schreacke, 42, of Quincy, turned south onto Ill. 96 from the intersection with 48th Street and collided with the motorcycle.

Schreacke was ticketed on charges of failure to yield at a stop intersection, driving under the influence and no insurance, police said.
