Mr. and Mrs. Blake Harper are at home in Quincy after honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Mr. Harper and the former Miss Julie Porter, both of Quincy, were united in marriage May 31 in the Kroc Center Worship Theater.
The bride is a daughter of Doug and Renee Porter of Quincy. The bridegroom is a son of Michael and Joyce Harper of Macomb.
The 4 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Tim Burke; the bride was given in marriage by her father. Music was provided by Anita and Karina Witt. Alyssa Hummel was reader.
Maid of honor was Jennifer Porter of Quincy, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Maria Richmiller of Quincy; Kailyn Strieker of Creve Coeur, Mo.; Kaylee Klein of Chicago; and Taylor Harper of Macomb and Megan Harper of Saraland, Ala., sisters of the bridegroom.
Best man was Eric Foster of Quincy. Groomsmen were Nick Burke of Bloomington; Lance Ward and Jared Schwerer, both of Macomb; Ethen Baker of Canton, Mo.; and Tim Haley of Quincy.
Ushers were Zach Anderson of Quincy; Michael Burke and Michael Worthington, both of Macomb; and Ryan Hagan of Colchester.
Flower girl was Eva Carlson and ring bearer was Elijah Carlson, both of Springfield and cousins of the bridegroom.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 30 in the East Room of O'Griff's. A reception began at 6 p.m. in Winter's West Wing.
The bride graduated from Quincy High School in 2008, from John Wood Community College in 2010, and from Western Illinois University in 2012. She is employed by JWCC as a financial aid adviser and also coaches the dance team.
The bridegroom graduated from West Prairie High School in 2008, from JWCC in 2010 and from WIU in 2012. He is employed by Adams County.
