* EcoEnergy is an alternative energy solutions developer headquartered in Elgin and is a unit of the Freeport-based Morse Group, which has served electrical energy and construction clients across North America for more than 60 years.

* EcoEnergy has offices in Freeport and Elgin in Illinois, Madison, Wis., and in Iowa. It has 20 projects under development in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, including ones in Stephenson, Ogle, Carroll, Warren, McDonough and Hancock counties.

* Construction begins this month on the company's 100-megawatt, 67-turbine EcoGrove Wind Farm in Stephenson County. The $200 million-plus project should be online by the end of the year.
