Henry and Sharon Kay of 3016 Fox Run West celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. They are also celebrating with a Western Caribbean cruise later this winter.

Mr. Kay and the former Sharon Meyer were married Nov. 14, 1959, in St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Mrs. Kay is a daughter of the late Clarence "Dede" and Helen "Elaine" Crossan Meyer. Mr. Kay is a son of the late Marion and Edna Howser Gilliland and the late Henry H. Kay Sr.

They are the parents of Kellie J. Kay of Quincy, Steven H. Kay of Fayetteville, Ark., and Sharon M. Kay, who died in infancy. They have two grandchildren.

Mr. Kay retired in 1996 after 31 years with the Quincy Police Department. He was honored in 1976 with the Exchange Club's Officer of the Year award. He is employed part time at Westview Golf Course and is a member of the Bogey Busters Golf Team.

Mrs. Kay retired in 1998 after 36 years with Bank of America, formerly Illinois State Bank. She is also a charter member of the Ladies of the Blue Knights.

They are members of St. Peter Catholic Church.
