The engagement of Donna A. Lay and Lonnie R. Dunn, both of Quincy, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Dean and Debbie Lay of Lewistown, Mo. She is a 1996 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1998 graduate of Gem City College. She earned an associate of applied science degree and is a legal secretary.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Harold and Esther Dunn of Mount Sterling. He is a 1983 graduate of Brown County High School, a 1987 graduate of Quincy College and a 1990 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and a juris doctor. Mr. Dunn is an attorney at law and a partner at Adrian and Dunn, P.C.

An Oct. 24 wedding is planned in Grandview Church.
