John and Terri Badamo of Quincy have announced the engagement of their son, Michael Daniel Badamo, to Ashley Lynne Petrowsky, both of 1704 Sycamore. She is a daughter of Edwin and Lisa Petrowsky of Pratt, Kan.

The bride-elect attended Skyline High School and is a 2005 graduate of Colorado Mountain College. She is a claims examiner at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.

The prospective bridegroom earned an associate of applied science degree in 2005 from Colorado Mountain College, a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois in 2008 and will receive a master of arts degree in 2010 from Salve Regina University. He is a content manager at Your Electronic Warehouse.

A March 8 wedding is planned at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colo.
