The engagement of Deanna Blickhan and John Sublette has been announced. The couple will be married at 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in First Presbyterian Church in Palmyra, Mo.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Michael and Marcia Blickhan of Taylor, Mo. She is a 2005 graduate of Palmyra High School, a 2007 graduate of Moberly Area Community College in Hannibal, Mo., and will graduate in October from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., with a bachelor of science degree in sociology. Miss Blickhan is employed by Fiddlestiks in Hannibal.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Jack Sublette of Palmyra and Marsha and Dale Elston of Maywood, Mo. He is a 2002 graduate of Palmyra High School and is employed by Culligan Water Conditioning in Hannibal.
