The engagement of Taylor Buckner and Lawrence Smith, both of St. Charles, Mo., has been announced by her parents, Jeff and Tammi Buckner of Quincy. Mr. Smith is a son of Adrienne Reeves of St. Louis and the late Sollie Smith.

The bride-elect graduated in 2003 from Quincy High School and in 2007 from Culver-Stockton College. She is an IT engineer at Express Scripts Inc.

The prospective bridegroom graduated in 2003 from New Madrid County Central High School and in 2007 from Culver-Stockton College. He is a financial analyst at Verizon.

A Nov. 21 wedding is planned in First Christian Church in Quincy.
