Scott and Amy Douglas of 732 Woodbridge have announced the engagement of their daughter, Ashleigh Lynne Douglas of Chesterfield, Mo., to Christopher Lee Wisslead of Edwardsville. He is a son of Steve and Eleanor Ann Wisslead of Stronghurst.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, attended John Wood Community College and graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2007. She was on the dean's list and a member of Alpha Sigma Tau. Miss Douglas is a district sales manager trainee at Dot Foods.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Stronghurst Southern High School in Stronghurst. He attended JWCC and graduated from SIU-E in 2008, where he was on the dean's list. Mr. Wisslead is a management trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

A May 2010 wedding is planned in St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy.
