Michael and Barbara Klingner of 1656 Maine have announced the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Klingner, to Gregory Cassens, son of Mark and Sandra Cassens of 1820 Golden Grove.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Quincy High School, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2006 from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in social work this year from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She graduated with honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Miss Klingner will begin working as a clinical social worker at BodyMind Connections in Columbia after the wedding.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Quincy High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 2006 from Western Illinois University and a juris doctorate this year from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a member of the Honors College at WIU and graduated with honors. Mr. Cassens is a law clerk for the Adams County circuit clerk and will begin working as a prosecuting attorney of Montgomery County, Mo., this fall.

An Oct. 10 wedding is planned in Vermont Street United Methodist Church.
