Jacquelyn Deneen Williams and Paul Michael-Allen Douglas are engaged to be married Oct. 10 in Mount Olive Baptist Church in Champaign.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Ivy and Preston Williams Jr. of Urbana. She is a 2003 graduate of Urbana High School, earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in Normal, and a master's degree in social work from the University of Illinois in Champaign this year. She is a behavior specialist at the READY Program in Champaign.

The prospective bridegroom is a son of Susan Warren and Carl Douglas, both of Quincy. He is a 2002 graduate of Quincy High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., in 2006. He is a production scheduler at Plastipak Packaging in Champaign and is the eighth-grade basketball coach at Urbana Middle School.
