Miss Cheryl Lynn Frericks and Joseph David Schutte exchanged wedding vows July 25 in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty.

The bride, of 1023 Burton Meadows Road, is a daughter of Rita Frericks of 662 E. 2053rd Lane, Liberty, and the late Paul Frericks. The bridegroom is a son of Dave and Janet Schutte of 1597 N. 400th Ave., Payson.

Rusty Nieders gave the bride in marriage during the 1:30 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Jeff Stone. Music was provided by Diana McCleary, organist, and Dawn Ormond and Julia Barry, vocalists. Also participating were Jaclyn Janor, Sara Garcia and Bob Lundberg, readers; Hannah Witte, cousin of the bride, and Andrew Witte, godson of the bride, servers; and Sharon Lauer and Kenny Grawe, godparents of the bride, and George Schutte, godparent of the bridegroom, gift bearers.

Matron of honor was Amy Lucie, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie Masters, sister of the bridegroom, and Jennifer Schullian and Beth Greenwald.

Best man was Jason Schutte, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Ryan Masters, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Mike Tryba and Jay Peter.

Ushers were Adam Lucie, brother-in-law of the bride; Danny Frericks, brother of the bride; Tony Hummel; and Kevin Dicks.

Flower girl was Morgan Widmer and ring bearer was Ethan Lucie, nephew of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents July 24 in the Pier Restaurant. A dinner reception began at 7 p.m. in the Ambiance.

The newlyweds are at home at 1023 Burton Meadows Road and plan a wedding trip to Hawaii in January.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Liberty High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Illinois. She is a dairy specialist at ADM Alliance Nutrition.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Seymour High School in Payson and a 2001 graduate of Western Illinois University. He is an ag equipment sales specialist at Martin Kroencke Sullivan and is engaged in farming.
