St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church was the setting for the July 11 wedding of Miss Katie Wernowsky and Derek Peter.

The bride, of Quincy, is a daughter of Mark and Debbie Wernowsky of 304 Hwy. 57, Quincy. The bridegroom, of 3421 Chapel Valley Drive, is a son of Randy and Debbie Peter of 1333 E. 1500th St., Quincy.

The 1 p.m. ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Arnaud Devillers; Mr. Wernowsky gave his daughter in marriage.

Maid of honor was Christina Wernowsky, sister of the bride. Also attending the bride were Jessica Deters and Jennifer Drew, her sisters, and Jessica Brueggemann and Shannon Dieker.

Best man was Jered Peter, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Jarad Dieker, Brandon Isaacks, Zach Steffen and Blaise Steffen.

Ushers were Vince Wernowsky, brother of the bride, and Chad Ballanger and Adam Schreacke.

Flower girl was Blair Eftink, cousin of the bridegroom, and ring bearer was Isaac Drew, nephew of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held July 10 in Tony's Too, hosted by the bridegroom's parents. A reception began at 6 p.m. in the Ambiance.

After a short get-away, the bridal couple are at home at 3421 Chapel Valley Drive. They plan a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, in January.

The bride is employed in the office of Dr. Paul Miller.

The bridegroom owns Precision Pumping and is a Realtor with Zanger and Associates.
