After honeymooning in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Michael Hay are at home in Pekin.

Mr. Hay and the former Mary Elizabeth Howser, both of Pekin, were married at 3 p.m. April 25 in First United Methodist Church in Pekin.

The bride is a daughter of Richard and Suellen McCartney of 2200 Maine. The bridegroom is a son of Michael and Linda Hay of Pekin.

The Rev. Terry Edele officiated; the bride was given in marriage by her parents. Marsha Richardson was organist.

Maid of honor was Jennifer McCartney of Jacksonville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Shilo Santiago of Macomb, Courtney Ussery of Springfield and the bridegroom's sister, Elizabeth Denton of Pekin. Junior bridesmaid was Lauryn Howser of Pekin, daughter of the bride.

Best man was Kyndall Zander of Pekin. Groomsmen were Paul McCartney of Quincy, brother of the bride; Henry Horn of Pekin; and Christopher Denton of Pekin, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Junior groomsman was Dillon Howser of Pekin, son of the bride.

Flower girl was Abbie McCartney of Quincy, niece of the bride.

The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner April 24 in the church. A dinner reception began at 6 p.m. in Ashland House in Morton, with cocktails and appetizers at 5 p.m. On April 26, the bridal couple hosted a wedding luncheon in their home.

The bride is a graduate of Quincy High School and earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Western Illinois University, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society. She is a case manager at Tazewell County Resource Center.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Pekin Community High School and earned a bachelor's degree in law enforcement and justice administration from WIU. He is employed by New Century Armored Logistics.
