Mr. and Mrs. Craig Robert Hufford are at home at 1316 Ohio after their marriage Aug. 18 on the San Diego Bay in San Diego.

The bride is the former Miss Mary Elizabeth Dawson of 1316 Ohio, daughter of Sandy K. Dawson of Crawfordsville, Ind., and the late Donald Dawson Sr. The bridegroom, also of 1316 Ohio, is a son of Greg Hufford of 1236 Monroe, and Tami and Robert Short of 800 Lucinda Lane.

The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was conducted by Janice Essix of San Diego; the bride was given in marriage by her mother.

Matron of honor was Kristi King, sister of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Angela Franks and Amy Wingerter, both of Quincy, and Delilah Lemons of Ada, Okla.

Best man was Dan Dixson of San Diego, cousin of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Rick Houston, Geoff Trammel, Sean Bowen and the bridegroom's brother, Blake Houston.

A wedding dinner was hosted by Robert and Tami Short at Tom Ham's Lighthouse in San Diego. A reception was held Aug. 28 at the Country Inn and Suites.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, earned an associate of arts degree in psychology in 2004 from John Wood Community College, and graduated from JWCC's licensed practical nurse program in 2006. She earned an associate's degree in nursing in 2007 from JWCC and is a registered nurse at the Blessing Hospital Emergency Room.

The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Quincy High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice at Western Illinois University in 2003. He is a police officer for the City of Quincy.

The bridal couple were honored with a couple's shower June 6, hosted by Kristi King and Tami Short.
