Royal Bliss loves Quincy, and anytime the band makes it back to the Midwest, members say they plan to play in the Gem City. Lead singer Neal Middleton says Quincy "gave us a shot before anyone else did, so we're going to keep coming back."

This time, at the tail end of a five-day blitz of Midwest shows, the band is bringing along Shaman's Harvest and Resident Hero to rock Backwaters. Middleton says Resident Hero has a similar sound to Royal Bliss and Missouri's Shaman's Harvest has a Southern rock sound that reminds him of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The crowd will be treated to a few new tracks from Royal Bliss that will be on an album coming up in 2010. The band also is releasing an acoustic album next month that is a recording of the jam session that it performed in front of Capitol Records executives previous to being signed to the label.

For Saturday's show, doors open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available now at TNT or Staradio for $12 and for $15 at Backwaters the night of the show. Patrons must be at 18 year old to attend.
