Arts briefs: Hannibal-LaGrange College senior's artwork to be on display Dec. 1-8

HANNIBAL, MO. — The work of Katie Renner, a senior who will be receiving a bachelor of arts degree with an emphasis in visual communications and photography, will ne on display Dec. 1-8 in the Hagerman Art Gallery in the Roland Fine Arts Center on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange College.

Hours to view the exhibit, which showcases photography, graphic design, and sculpture, are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. An opening reception will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery. Renner, of Burlington, Iowa, is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Renner. Two senior Culver-Stockton College students toperform recitals Dec. 6

Culver-Stockton College students Daniel Cox, a senior music education major from McLeansboro, Ill., and Anthony Webb, a senior music education major from Sullivan, Mo., will perform their senior recitals at 2 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in the Merillat Recital Hall in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the C-SC campus. Admission is free.

At 2 p.m., Cox will hold his senior recital featuring vocal and violin pieces.

Webb will showcase his saxophone and vocal talents at 3:30 p.m.

Rooster's Crow owner gives presentation to Lions Club

Michael Chlebanowski, co-owner of Rooster's Crow Art Center, gave a presentation to the Hannibal Lion's Club at their luncheon meeting recently.

Chlebanowski created Rooster's Crow Art Center in 2006. Chlebanowski, who is a professor of art at Hannibal LaGrange College, brought a couple of his award-winning paintings for the backdrop to his presentation.
