Fourth quarter recap
Published: 3/1/2008 | Updated: 1/23/2009

The first of many big plays happened just 11 seconds into the period when Karlee Gengenbacher picked up her fourth foul.

QND coach Eric Orne didn't keep Gengenbacher out of the game long. She came back with under 5 minutes left as the Lady Raiders clung to a 55-53 lead at the final media timeout.

GodBold also made sure to stay out of harm's way after picking up her fourth foul midway through the third quarter. She made a pair of free throws with 2:11 left to play to give the Commandos their first lead since the first quarter at 61-60.

Gengenbacher answered with two baskets, and GodBold was forced to sit for good after picking up her fifth foul.

Leigh McLaughlin split two free throws with 30 seconds left to give QND a 65-61 lead. Tatiana Walker made two free throws with 21 seconds remaining to make it a 65-63 game.

Walker then made a steal of an inbounds pass by Chloe Barnes. Walker was fouled going to the basket with 14 seconds left. She made both free throws to tie the game at 65.

Marshall continued to play aggressively on defense, which cost the Commandos. Gengenbacher was fouled by Sarah Rogers with 10.6 seconds left.

But QND's late-game woes continued as Gengenbacher missed both free throws. Marshall then missed two shots in the final five seconds, sending the game to overtime.

After going 13 for 15 from the line the first three quarters, QND was 7 for 13 from the line in the fourth quarter.
