Fourth quarter recap
Published: 3/1/2008 | Updated: 1/23/2009

The final quarter of the Lady Raiders' season would be the third time this entire season that QND had scored just four points in a quarter.

The Lady Raiders missed all six 3-point attempts shot in the final eight minutes, while Montini would extend its lead thanks to 3 of 4 free throws by Michala Johnson.

QND would end the contest shooting just 1 for 16 (6.3 percent) from behind the arc, while Montini made 5 of 10 (50 percent).

Johnson added two more jumpers to give the Lady Broncos an 11 point lead, 44-33, at the 5:17 mark. As the Lady Raiders forced fouls to attempt a comeback, Montini would make 9 of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter.

QND's final score came from reserve Kelli Keck, who scored with 14 seconds remaining for the final difference. Karlee Gengenbacher added the other two points on a pair of free throws with 6:58 remaining.

The Lady Raiders had scored just four points in a quarter on two other occassions -- five days earlier in the fourth quarter of Monday's super-sectional against Highland and the third quarter of a Dec. 22 game against Silex.
