HANNIBAL, Mo. -- The 32nd annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in downtown Hannibal. The event is sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council, HNB Bank and the Missouri Arts Council.

There will be 84 artisans featuring original works in wood, fiber, pottery, candlemaking, jewelry, painting and drawing. Other historic and traditional crafts will be available, and a children's area at Hill and Main streets will feature crafts and activities. Cost for the children's area is $2.

Food and entertainment also will be offered. Entertainment will include regional musicians on banjo, hammered dulcimer, mandolin, and guitar, along with traditional dance, storytellers and vocalists.

Quote

"It's Hannibal. It's fall. It's a good solid established festival. It's unique in that it's not just a normal arts and crafts fair what with the food, the performances and the huge amount of quality exhibits."

-- Michael Gaines, executive director, Hannibal Arts Council
