A Quincy teenager pleaded guilty Tuesday to two of 11 counts of burglarizing vehicles during a citywide spree late last year.

Desmond Jarvis, 17, pleaded guilty in exchange for a cap of four years on his sentence. He'll be sentenced in Quincy on Aug. 26.

Joshua Pearcy, 17, was sentenced last month to 4 1/2 years for his role in the burglaries.

Authorities said the men were arrested in December after numerous reports of vehicles being damaged and items taken from them. A juvenile also was involved, authorities said.

Pearcy and Jarvis admitted in court they were involved in throwing rocks through vehicle windows and taking items on the nights of Dec. 12, Dec. 18 and Dec. 21.

Pearcy was arrested when the victim of one of the burglaries, Quincy Police Department canine officer Adam Gibson, arrested a juvenile and Jarvis in December for a traffic violation.

First Assistant State's Attorney Gary Farha said the juvenile and Jarvis were interviewed and fingered Pearcy in the burglaries.
