Published: 11/7/2009 | Updated: 11/15/2009

Medicare Part D open enrollment will be from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31. Appointments are required.

This is the time for individuals who are currently enrolled in a Medicare Part D Prescription Plan to have a complete check of their plan to ensure they have the very best coverage for the least amount of premium. The only way to make sure is to have a total prescription drug checkup performed on the medicare-gov web-site.

Highly trained West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging representatives will be available at the various dates and sites listed below to check at no cost as well as to assist with the selection and or enrollment process for Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. The agency is neutral and an objective party and does not receive any commission or fees for providing information or helping select a plan.

Participants need to bring: 1. Name of current Medicare D Plan (if applicable) 2. Medicare Card; 3. A list of current prescriptions (milligrams and times of day taken).
