Quincy police closed down traffic along a part of 30th Street just north of Broadway late Friday.

Officers were sent to investigate pavement problems around 11:15 p.m.

"There is a water main problem and there has been some buckling in the pavement," Sgt. Dan DuHamel said late Friday.

Quincy Department of Utilities crews were called in to assess the problem and locate the leak.
