Woman arrested in Quincy home after sheriff's deputies find items used to manufacture meth

The search of a residence at 821 N. 22nd at 4:45 p.m. Monday resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old Quincy woman on multiple drug charges.

Adams County Sheriff's deputies conducted the search and found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and items used in the manufacture of meth.

Arrested was Christie Smith on charges of aggravated participation in methamphetamine production, methamphetamine-related child endangerment, aggravated possession of anhydrous ammonia and possession of a controlled substance.

Smith was lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond pending a court appearance today. She has a previous drug charge conviction, police said.

Assisting was the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team.
