State Fair Peanut Butter Cake recipe

2 cups cake flour

1 1/3 cups sugar

3 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup margarine

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

1 cup milk

2 eggs

Stir together dry ingredients. Add margarine, peanut butter, milk and eggs until well mixed. Pour batter into two (eight-inch) lined round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool, then frost with Peanut Butter Frosting.

For frosting, beat together 1/2 cup margarine, 4 cups powdered sugar, 6 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup peanut butter and 1/4 teaspoon salt until mixtures reaches a spreading consistency.
