Caramel brownies recipe

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1 German chocolate cake mix

1 (14-ounce) package caramels

3/4 cup margarine, melted

1 cup nuts, chopped

1 cup chocolate chips

Melt caramels in 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Mix together cake mix, margarine, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Press half of dough in a greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips, then pour on meted caramels. Crumble remaining dough over top. Bake for an additional 20 minutes. Cool, then cut into bars.
