HOUSING ACTION ILLINOIS' CARAVAN MEETING

A Community Stakeholders' Meeting on Affordable Housing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in Room 506 of the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center, 639 York.

The meeting is part of Housing Action Illinois' 2008 Caravan, during which board members and staff are visit six Illinois communities (Decatur, Springfield, Quincy, Macomb, Peoria, and Peru) over three days.

The purpose of the caravan is to engage local leaders from the nonprofit sector, business and government about local housing needs to guide future advocacy, public education and technical assistance work.

Housing Action Illinois' mission is to increase and preserve the supply of decent, affordable, accessible housing in Illinois for low-and moderate-income households through advocacy, public education, and technical assistance to nonprofits.
