The John Wood Community College trustees also:

* Viewed designs for a new college seal that were created by students in a 2D Design and Color class taught by Addie Seabarkrob.

* Approved changes in the swine management program effective fall 2009: deleting the swine management associate in applied science degree, changing the 32-credit-hour swine specialist certificate to a 32-credit-hour swine manager certificate and adding a 26-credit-hour swine specialist certificate.

* Accepted the bid of $11,566 from Creasey Printing Services of Springfield for the printing of 9,500 copies of the 2009-2011 college catalog and student handbook.
