* This year, more than 400,000 people will die from smoking-related diseases.

* Each day, about 3,500 adolescents become regular smokers.

* More than 70 percent of U.S. smokers, or 32 million, want to quit and try to each year, but most fail without help.

* It can take up to seven or more tries to successfully quit.
