The Revs. Elsie Hainz McGrath and Ree Hudson, womenpriests of the Roman Catholic faith but excommunicated by the church, will speak at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Church, 16th and Hampshire.

According to a press release, McGrath and Hudson are co-pastors of the Therese of Divine Peace Inclusive Community in St. Louis, where "all are welcome ... and celebrate the Catholic sacraments" in a Unitarian chapel.

Both are part of Roman Catholic Womenpriests, an international initiative within the Roman Catholic Church, according to the Therese of Divine Peace Web site.

The mission of Roman Catholic Womenpriests North America is "to spiritually prepare, ordain, and support women and men from all states of life, who are theologically qualified, who are committed to an inclusive model of church, and who are called by the Holy Spirit and their communities to minister within the Roman Catholic Church."

McGrath has more than 30 years of ministerial experience and theology degrees from St. Louis University and the Aquinas Institute of Graduate Theology.

Hudson is a wife and mother of four who has almost 40 years of ministerial experience, degrees in education from Peabody College for Teachers and Southeast Missouri State, and theology degrees from Scarritt College for Christian Workers and Loyola University in New Orleans. She is certified for pastoral ministries from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
