Richmond snaps Cavemen's winning streak

Richmond snapped Hannibal’s three-game winning streak, defeating the Cavemen 2-1 on Tuesday at Clemens Field. Hannibal (7-14) scored a run in the first when Kyle Gaedele (3 for 4) knocked Colin Hofmann in.

Cavemen starting pitcher Josh Smith, who struck out eight, threw seven scoreless innings before allowing a run in the eighth. Steve Godawa gave up an unearned run in the top of the ninth to take the loss.
