Quincy man dead from apparent dog attack

QUINCY -- The Quincy Police Department is investigating the death of a man at a home at 10th and Jersey streets at 3:26 a.m. Sunday morning.

QPD told our news-gathering partners at WGEM that the Quincy man, 21, died a the result of an apparent dog attack. The death is under investigation by police.

QPD said police received a call from the Blessing Hospital emergency room in reference to a person with a dog bite.

Adams County Coroner Jim Keller told WGEM the deceased is Jamie Owsley. Keller is performing an autopsy, and final autopsy results can take up to two weeks. He said the man was pronounced dead at the emergency room early Sunday morning.
