Unity vs. Peoria Quest

What's At Stake: Class 1A sectional championship and a berth in Tuesday's super-sectional at the Jacksonville Bowl against winner of the Okawville Sectional, which pits Okawville against New Berlin.
Last Meeting: Jan. 27, 2017 -- Quest 77, Unity 57. Quest, ranked No. 4 in the final Class 1A poll, beat Unity in late January when the Gators were ranked No. 1. The Gators led 19-9 after one quarter and never trailed. Unity senior Cory Miller scored a game-high 28 points, while David Walker added 11. Unity was playing without forward Cole Thompson, who didn't make the trip because of the flu. Guard Taylor Klusmeyer played for the first time since suffering an ankle injury on Nov. 24. Quest was led by Chaz Sardin with 17 points and Jalen Hughes added 16.
Scouting the Gators: Since the victory against Unity, Quest closed the season with a 5-3 record. Losses came to Farmington (62-57 on Feb. 3), Williamsville (47-41 on Feb. 11) and Canton (72-61 on Feb. 14).
Sardin, a senior, leads the Gators at 17 points per game while also averaging 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He had 30 points in Wednesday night's sectional semifinal victory over Pleasant Hill. Terrell Walker, who has averages of 7.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists, scored 22 points and had six rebounds against the Wolves. Jaylon Huff is the team's second-leading scorer at 12.3 ppg, and he's the top rebounder at 6.5 per game. However, he rolled an ankle in the regional opener and didn't play in the regional title game. He scored just four points against Pleasant Hill on Tuesday. The other starters are Ryan Hamilton (5.8 ppg) and Jalen Hughes (7.4 ppg).
Quest is a charter school that opened in August 2010 to 225 students in grades 5-7. It now has more than 600 students in grades 5-12. It has an enrollment of 257 at the high school level.
Quest defeated Bushnell-Prairie City 62-49 to win the regional championship last Friday at the former Woodruff High School in Peoria. Quest reached the sectional championship game last year, but Liberty's Cole Wellman scored 35 points and made 21 of 26 free throw attempts to lead the Eagles to a 71-62 victory at Bushnell-Prairie City.
Scouting the Mustangs: Miller went over the 1,600-point mark for his career in Tuesday's 66-57 victory over Delavan in the sectional semifinals. He's averaging 22.5 points per game. Thompson is the team's second-leading scorer with 10 points per game. The Mustangs are averaging 57.8 points per game and allowing just 47.4.
Unity has won its last four games after suffering back-to-back losses to Quincy Notre dame (78-58) and Western (62-56) at the beginning of February. The Mustangs are 18-1 when holding their opponents to 50 points or less.
