PALMYRA, Mo. -- Lance Logsdon is hoping for one thing for Christmas.

A clearance from the doctor he can return to the basketball court.

"That'd be a nice gift," the Canton boys basketball senior said.

Logsdon, the Tigers leading scorer from last season, is hoping to be cleared Dec. 27 and return to the lineup just after New Year's. Logsdon has surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder in August.

"Hopefully during the Highland Tournament or something like that," Logsdon said. "I've only been able to do some light shooting."

Logsdon averaged 20.3 points and 10.6 rebounds last season as a junior, and shot 51 percent from the field and 80 percent of the free-throw line.

Canton misses Logsdon's scoring as the Tigers are averaging just 48 points in three games. Last year, Canton averaged 57 points through three games.
