Inside the matchup: The Panthers had a three-game winning streak stopped with last Saturday's 100-91 loss to McKendree. It was only the third time this season Drury failed to score at least 100 points, a mark it has hit in four of five victories. Drury is second in the GLVC in scoring offense at 93.1 points per game but 11th in scoring defense at 75.3 points. The Panthers are playing seven players 18 or more minutes per game, and they all are averaging 5.4 or more points. Sophomore guard Isaac Johnson is averaging 14.7 points and 3.6 assists per game and leads the team with 21 3-pointers made. Drury's top three rebounders each average a little more than four rebounds per game, but all three are guards and none are taller than 6-foot-4. That could be Quincy's edge. The Hawks outrebounded undefeated William Jewell 57-38. Quincy ranks fourth in the GLVC in rebounding and second in offensive rebounds, with junior forward Marcus Hinton ranking second in the league with 10.8 rebounds per game. The Hawks must become more efficient offensively, ranking last in both field goal percentage (41 percent) and 3-point percentage (30.1 percent).
