Sodalis Nature Preserve to host holiday hike

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Sodalis Nature Preserve is hosting a new event, the Ho Ho Hike, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Trailhead.

Participants will play games, hear stories and hike on the paved trail to the amphitheater of Sodalis Nature Preserve to see Santa Claus. Gale Rublee, nature educator, will lead the hike.

Rublee has been a professional storyteller and teacher-naturalist for school groups at the Missouri Botanical Garden's Shaw Nature Reserve. She is the youth coordinator and acting teacher for Bluff City Theater's Academy and Youth Education Theater Initiative program. Santa Claus will be available for photos with a suggested cash donation to Toys for Tots. Santa will be at the amphitheater site at Sodalis Nature Preserve until 4 p.m.
