QUINCY -- The name of a woman accused of pulling a weapon on a tow truck driver earlier this week has been released.

The Adams County state's attorney's office said Sarah E. Mayfield, 32, of Quincy, was arrested Sunday.

The office said it plans to charge Mayfield with aggravated assault, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said a Quincy towing company was towing a vehicle in the Rancho Vista Estates trailer park when Mayfield, who owned the vehicle, reportedly confronted the tow operator. Deputies say Mayfield then brandished an undisclosed weapon.

Mayfield posted bond after her arrest, and she will make her first appearance Dec. 19 in Adams County Circuit Court.
