After honeymooning in Iceland, Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Walters are at home in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mr. Walters and the former Miss Morgan McPherson, both of Des Moines, exchanged wedding vows Sept. 2 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Quincy.
The bride is a daughter of Jeffrey and Kathy McPherson of Quincy. The bridegroom is a son of Brent and Sally Walters, also of Quincy.
The bride was given in marriage by her father during the 1 p.m. ceremony conducted by the Rev. Don Blaeser. Music was provided by Monica Scholz and Megan Peters. Readers were Beatriz Estay and the bridegroom's aunt, Wynn Walters.
Maid of honor was Madison McPherson of Quincy, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emma Huepfel and Laura Zahr, both of Minneapolis; Samantha Julsen of Ottumwa, Iowa; Samantha Maryan of Milwaukee; and Anna Walters of Des Moines, sister of the bridegroom.
Best man was Alex Rinella of Quincy. Groomsmen were Dennis Chung of Jamaica, Peter Jackson of Indianapolis and Matthew McPherson of Creve Coeur, Mo., brother of the bride.
Ushers were Jake Goodman of Kansas City, Mo., and Danny Herzberg of Des Moines.
The bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Sept. 1 at Tiramisu. A reception began at 6 p.m. at the Quincy Country Club.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 2017 graduate of Drake University with a doctor of pharmacy degree. She is a pharmacist at Medicap Pharmacy in Des Moines.
The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and a 2015 graduate of Drake University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems. He is a senior associate accountant at Principal Financial Group.
