Eger's buzzer-beater gives Unity victory over Havana

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Addison Eger scored as the buzzer sounded to give the Unity girls basketball team a 46-45 victory over Havana on Wednesday at the Lady Panther Classic.

Sydnie Linder gave Havana a 45-44 lead with a basket with five seconds remaining in the game. Aftre a timeout, the Mustangs' Katie Conry took the inbounds pass and dribbled down the sideline in front of the teams' benches, then found Eger in the lane for the game-winning shot.

The Mustangs (10-12) took a 16-7 first quarter lead and maintained a nine-point lead entering the third quarter. However, Havana scored 14 points in the fourth quarter while holding the Mustangs to only four points until the final shot.

Addi Miller led Unity with 22 points.
