JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Quincy University, Culver-Stockton College and Hannibal-LaGrange University's track teams competed at the Snow Bird Open in Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon.
The HLGU men finished eighth out of 20 teams, while the women finished 13th out of 18 teams. Andrew Daw won the men's 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:08.5. Shawn Geralds finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.46, and the team of Ejike Okpa, Michael Casebolt, Jacob Rich and Ryan Heyel took second place in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:36.5.
The QU men finished 16th. Noah James placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.46 and finished sixth with a 52.61 in the 400-meter race.
The women finished tied for 15th. In the 800-meter run, Kellyn Lamore finished fourth with a time of 2:30.92. Maggie Porterfield placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 8 feet, 2 1/2 inches.
Culver-Stockton's Paige Bray took fourth in the 200-meter dash and finishing sixth in the 60-meter dash. Tateum King also finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:36.03.
