QU, C-SC, HLGU compete in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. -- The Hannibal-LaGrange University men's track and field team finished fourth out of 17 teams in Saturday's Jim Green Invitational at Illinois College.

Shawn Geralds finished third in the 800-meter run in 1:58.15. Heiko Thiele finished fourth in the 5,000 run in 15:40.

Malik Pulline and Markell Strickland both finished in the top five in the triple jump. Pulline finished fourth in 40 feet, 7 inches, and Strickland was fifth in 40-1.25.

The Trojans scored 66 points.

Quincy University finished in 13th. Noah James took fifth in the 400 dash in 52.75. He also took seventh in the 200 dash in 23.25.

Jett Jones took seventh in the high jump at 1.68 meters.

On the women's side, Culver-Stockton College finished seventh out of 17 teams.

Paige Bray won the 200 dash in 27 seconds, and took second in the 60 dash in 7.99 seconds. H'Aenise Coopwood took third in the high jump at 4-9.75 and third in the triple jump at 33-7.25.

HLGU finished 16th. QU finished 17th.
