To The Herald-Whig:
I agree with Bruce Rauner's "Springfield Clean-up Crew," but that should also include getting rid of him. I have been a Republican for 35 years, ever since I became a born-again Christian in 1982. After previously voting for liberal/anything-goes "tax and spend" Democrats and Independents for 10 years before my conversion, I soon realized that the Republican Party was the only one that stood up for preborn babies and marriage between a man and a woman.
But it wasn't long before fake Republicans such as Judy Topinka and Rauner infiltrated the party. He is a Democrat (pro-abortion/anti-life and pro-gay everything) attempting to hide in Republican clothing. May he and his wife repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ so that they will be saved. Sadly, the only difference now between many Republican and Democratic politicians is that exorbitantly rich "Republicans" like Rauner and Jil Tracy only support making more money for already-wealthy business owners like themselves and their families instead of helping struggling, working persons, which the Democrats do.
I am now glad to finally get to vote for a real Republican -- West Point graduate and veteran Jeanne Ives. Yes, an extreme fiscal conservative, but most important, a social conservative -- pro-life and pro-marriage between a man and a woman!
I am thankful for Sam McCann, Norine Hammond and all the other Republicans who have finally decided to do what's right and stand against Rauner and many of his vindictive, ungodly policies. Rauner and his wealthy troops continue to seek revenge by trying to politically and personally "destroy" members of his own party who dare oppose him. But yet, he is afraid to debate Ives.
Yes, we finally do have a budget -- no thanks to Rauner and his disciples -- and Rauner needs to stop blaming Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan for his incompetence and failure as a governor. The National Review is correct: Bruce Rauner, the worst Republican governor in America.
Vote for Ives.
