Dick and Kay Boll

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Boll of 1600 Melview Road will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at 10 a.m. Feb. 25 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, followed by a dinner with family at Sprout's Inn, hosted by their children.

They were married Feb. 24, 1968, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hannibal, Mo.

Mrs. Boll is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franklin. Mr. Boll is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boll.

They are the parents of four children, Brad (Tracey) Boll of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Theresa (Scott) Huseman, Mrs. Pam (Jason) Hagerbaumer and Mike (Julie) Boll, all of Quincy. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Mr. Boll is retired from Gardner Denver and Broadcast Electronics, and Mrs. Boll is retired from Quincy Notre Dame High School cafeteria.

They are active at Blessed Sacrament Church, where she is a Eucharistic minister and he is an usher. They participate in the funeral luncheon ministry at the church and lead a small faith group. They volunteered for many years for the Meals on Wheels program, were active in Marriage Encounter and are still active in Cursillo.

The Bolls enjoy attending their grandchildren's events, golf, table tennis, cards, reading and gardening. They enjoyed 30 years of camping with their family at Bayview Campgrounds in Hannibal and still vacation with their entire family at the Lake of the Ozarks every summer.

The couple met while both were working at Gardner Denver.
