When I was a kid, I wanted to be ... an office manager, so I could work with people and manage tasks. Later, I realized I would have liked to have been a Christian family counselor. Somewhat all came true as I work with people, which includes counseling and manage many tasks in real estate!
What would you rather be doing right now? Sitting on a beach in Siesta Key, Fla., watching the sunsets. So relaxing.
Shhhhhh! Don't tell anyone that ... my father also was a great musician and well-known author, and I don't have any of those talents.
Other than your wedding day and/or the birth of your children, what was your proudest moment? Two moments: daughter's wedding and watching my husband give our daughter away to her new husband and thanking God for bringing a Christian man to her. Another proud moment was when my son became an Eagle Scout.
It really stinks when ... I dislike watching people throw cigarette butts on the ground. Stop littering, and show some respect.
What word in the dictionary would your face be next to? Honest. Our business has a code of values, and I try to live by those values every day.
I always laugh when ... people tell me that they might want to be a Realtor, because they like to look at pretty houses. It's a whole lot more than that!
Invite any three people, living or dead, to dinner. Who are they? Jesus because He is my number one. Mary, Jesus' mother. I and many women could learn so much from her with all the emotions and circumstances she dealt with throughout her life. Third person would be my mother-in-law, Norma. I miss her and would love to share life's happenings with her.
At the end of a really long day at work, I like to ... soak in the hot tub under the bright moon and stars.
People who knew me in high school thought I was ... shy. That changed.
My most unforgettable brush with greatness was ... Dina Dwyer-Owens. She is co-chairman of the Dwyer Group Board of Directors and franchise executive with more than 30 years of industry experience of the Dwyer Group. The Dwyer Group has 11 franchise brands and more than 2,700 locations around the world. We own one -- Aire Serve Heating and Air Conditioning. Meeting with her now on multiple occasions has encouraged me in leadership, thinking outside of the box and moving forward in my career.
I would drop all my plans tonight if I had the chance to ... jump on a plane and head to a warm, sunny Florida beach.
If someone gave me a million dollars, there is STILL no way I would ... jump out of a plane. I have a hard time watching those Facebook videos of people doing so.
America should be more concerned about ... small-town America. Every small business makes up towns and provides jobs. People buy online and travel to big cities for purchases but then wonder why their community is drying up. Spend the dollars in your own community.
I'm OK if there's ever a national shortage of ... I'm a Dave Ramsey follower, so honestly, if something hasn't been used in two years, it leaves the house. I don't collect things. I collect memories.
When I'm on the internet, I always go to ... check my email. Much of my real estate world revolves around communication by email. When the internet is down, this lady isn't happy.
What is the most useful piece of advice you have ever received? "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel." Proverbs 12:15. I've always tried to seek counsel with large decisions in my life.
When I'm cruising down the road, I'm likely listening to ... WCGA, 88.5 FM, the Mix. Several years ago I started listening to contemporary Christian music and was amazed at how God touched people's lives through music. Not all communities have such a station, so I decided to financially support the station by becoming an underwriter.
I always get sentimental when ... seeing pictures of my kids when they were younger. Time goes by so fast. I tell younger moms to cherish those moments and don't worry about the dirty dishes.
The older I get, the more I realize ... how less I depend on me and more I depend on God. He is my hope.

My favorite item of clothing is ... a soft pink sweatshirt with the word MAINE on it. A couple of years ago, my husband surprised me with a trip to Portland, Maine. I got to see the beautiful northeast part of the country in October and took a lighthouse tour, which was on my bucket list.
If I've learned anything at all ... Success is a journey, not a destination.
