QUINCY -- Two Quincy residents were arrested Wednesday after a residential search on Quincy's south side.
John B. Bevis, 56, of 1009 Jersey, and Leonna M. Cheney, 39, of 628 Oak, were each arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bevis also was arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
The West Central Illinois Task Force said the arrests came after a search warrant was served at 1009 Jersey, where officers reportedly found methamphetamine and cannabis.
Both suspects were taken to the Adams County Jail.
Assisting in the investigation were the Adams County Sheriff's Department and the Quincy Police Department.
