Dan and Norma Clair of rural Loraine will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house/reception from 3 to 6 p.m. June 24 at Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy. Their children and grandchildren will host the event. Family and friends are invited.
Mr. and Mrs. Clair were married June 23, 1968, at First Christian Church in Girard.
Mrs. Clair, the former Norma Sutton, is a daughter of the late Edgar and Mina Sutton. Mr. Clair is a son of the late Bruce and Geraldine Clair.
They are the parents of Scott (Tina) Clair of Iowa City, Iowa, Brad (Trina) Clair of New Berlin, Erin (Adam) Adair of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Brent of rural Loraine. They have six grandchildren.
Mr. Clair, a retired farmer, is a member of the Loraine Lions Club, Loraine Fire Department and the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Mrs. Clair is a homemaker.
They are active members of the United Methodist Church in Loraine, Lay Witness Mission and Great River Walk to Emmaus, and are assistant chaplains at Blessing Hospital.
The couple met at Rural Youth activities.
