Bob and Marie Kerr of 841 N. County Road 390, Warsaw, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner, hosted by their children and families.
Mr. Kerr and the former Marie Kirk were married Aug. 1, 1953, at First Christian Church in Vinita, Okla.
Mrs. Kerr is a daughter of the late George and Jane Kirk. Mr. Kerr is a son of the late Donald and Anabel Kerr.
They are the parents of Bob Kerr Jr. (Susan) and Melody Carr (Stan), all of Warsaw. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Kerr is a retired farmer, having farmed in the Warsaw bottoms for 50 years. He is a Korean War veteran and a 65-year member of Warsaw Masonic Lodge. He is also a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 32nd Degree Mason with Quincy Consistory.
Mrs. Kerr is a retired Warsaw elementary school teacher. She was a member of Rocky Run Ladies Aid, and is a present member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
As a couple, they have been members of Warsaw Presbyterian Church for 65 years.
The Kerrs met in Oklahoma when Mr. Kerr was getting his discharge from the Army after coming home from Korea at Camp Crowder in Missouri.
