Kay and Leon Lentz of 2398 N. 900th Ave., Liberty, will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 7 to 11 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Knights of Columbus North Room in Quincy. Their children will host the event.
Mr. Lentz and the former Kathleen Wiewel were married Aug. 3, 1968, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty.
Mrs. Lentz is a daughter of Wilma Wiewel of Quincy and the late Walter Wiewel. Mr. Lentz is a son of the late Mildred and Herbert Lentz.
They are the parents of Michelle and Mitch Girardin of Fowler, and Susan and Spencer Lefringhouse and Mike Lentz, all of Liberty. They have five grandchildren.
Mr. Lentz retired from Prairie Farms Dairy. He is a member of the Lions Club and NRA, and enjoys hunting, fishing, playing cards and attending their grandchildren's sporting events.
Mrs. Lentz is a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Altar Society and Caring Hearts and Helping Hands, making bears for children at the hospital. She enjoys helping at church, cooking, attending Cardinals games and spending time with family.
They are members of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
