The Salvation Army Family Services and Shelter will host a block party from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Fifth and Broadway between the Salvation Army Family Store and Family Services.
The event will be a continued celebration of the Quincy Salvation Army's 125th anniversary. The event is free and open to the public. Hot dogs and ice cream will be served.
In addition to serving food, family-friendly games such as a ring toss, bubble blowing contest, and cake walk will be available. Live entertainment will be provided by Kayla Obert and Salvation Army Aux. Captains Mika and Grace Roinila. The Family Store will also feature a sidewalk sale.
